John took the opportunity of a parliamentary recess to visit Thame Youth Café which meets on a Wednesday afternoon. The café is one of Thame Youth Projects organised by volunteers to support young people in the town.
John said: “It was a delight to meet with people at the café and see the range of activities available to them there. The basement area provides a space for table tennis or computer games and on the ground floor art activities are available or just a space for a chat and some refreshments. I congratulate the volunteers for their dedication to this much appreciated project.”
Thame Youth Café is open to the young people of Thame and the surrounding villages. It provides a much needed space where young people can gather safely. The café is run by a committee under the umbrella charity – Thame Youth Projects Group.
