John was delighted to be invited to join the celebration of the reopening of The Crown pub in Benson.
The pub which is now owned by the Hook Norton Brewery has undergone extensive refurbishment.
John said: "It is always a good news story when a business reopens. Our pubs are important to our communities and it is great to see what has been done in The Crown. My congratulations to all who have been involved in the refurbishment. I wish them every success particularly in there difficult times."
James Clarke, Managing Director of Hook Norton Brewery, welcomed John and thanked hm for joining them in their celebrations. James, who represents the 5th Generation of the founding family of the brewery said that this is their first foray into South Oxfordshire.
John added: "During the evening guests were delighted with samples from the dishes on the menu. Having sampled the fare l would certainly recommend The Crown as a destination for dinner."
In additon to the bar and restuaruant The Crown has a beer garden and six en-suite bedrooms.
