Justice Week 2020 aims to improve access to justice by boosting the profile of justice and the rule of law. John attended the Parliamentary drop-in to find out more.
This year the week is focusing on promoting greater awareness to young people to help them understand:
- the importance of the justice system,
- to value the rule of law
- to see justice and the rule of law as fundamental to out lives and freedoms.
John said: "There is currently widespread discussion about citizens' rights and obligations, the role of Parliament and the rule of law. I am pleased to support Justice Week to help boost understanding of our justice system."
Justice week, which started in 2018, is promoted by The Law Society, the Bar Council and athe Chartered Institute of Legal Executieves.
